One of our epic couples, Michelle and Tyler, had a beautiful love story that culminated in their Montana elopement at Avalanche Creek in Glacier National Park. They knew they wanted a no frills, no stress wedding. They simply wanted to be surrounded by their closest loved ones in the most gorgeous of places.
Their love of the great outdoors and each other made them the perfect fit to be An Epic Elopement couple! Keep reading to check out all the details of their classic Montana elopement and inspired Glacier National Park adventure session.
Planning a Montana Elopement
One of the primary reasons our couples choose to book with us is because we make wedding planning as simple as possible…and even fun! We help match you with your dream wedding vendor team, guide you in selecting the perfect venue, assist with obtaining any necessary permits, and equip you with a ton of insider tips and tricks along the way! We have years of experience planning Montana elopements and weddings, and we pass all that knowledge to you to give you the best day ever.
For their Montana elopement, we worked with Michelle and Tyler to plan a bridal bouquet with bold color and a matching boutonniere. Michelle’s bouquet had rich orange and red in it, complemented by periwinkle, white, and cornflower blue. It evoked a wildflower, summery vibe that beautifully suited this outdoor Montana elopement.
It also fit Michelle’s strapless ivory wedding gown! Just like when she met Tyler, Michelle knew instantly that this dress was the one for her. It was simple and elegant, allowing her natural beauty and authentic joy to shine through. Tyler was no slouch with his attire either! He donned a dark chocolate brown suit jacket with a classic pair of dark wash jeans. He completed the look with a classic cowboy hat and boots.
An Epic Montana Elopement Ceremony
On the day of their Montana elopement, everyone made their way to Avalanche Creek in Glacier National Park. Michelle and Tyler brought four of their cherished family members with them to witness their nuptials, and it couldn’t have been a more beautiful day! The forest trees and majestic mountains towered over us, forming a completely stunning backdrop, and the creek softly flowed past us. It was like a scene straight out of a painting!
With An Epic Elopement, not only do you get a seasoned wedding planner, coordinator, and instant best friend, but you also get an officiant! Our amazing owner and lead planner, Katie, is a licensed wedding officiant, who can coordinate your day and perform your ceremony. She did just that for Michelle and Tyler’s Montana elopement in this magical locale. The ceremony was sweet and sentimental, as it included personalized details from this couple’s love story, like how they initially met on Facebook and how Tyler’s interest in jeeps, racing and kayaking first caught Michelle’s eye. The wedding struck the ideal balance between romantic and emotional, bringing tears to Michelle’s eyes and smiles to everyone’s faces.
Michelle would later tell us that her favorite moment of the entire day was when we first started the ceremony. She said, “Just taking Tyler’s smile and the beautiful view all in just felt like a dream!”
We live for moments like these!
Glacier National Park Adventure Photo Session
After Michelle and Tyler tied the knot, we made sure to sign the marriage license and then started on family portraits. A great side effect of having a Montana elopement or micro wedding is that you can get remarkable family photos! Weddings in general are so special because they are usually one of the only times families get professional images taken. With the magnificent landscapes that Glacier offers, your family pictures will inevitably turn out to be incredible and timeless.
After the family formals, Michelle and Tyler embarked on their adventure session around Glacier National Park! They explored the rushing rivers, lush forestry, and serene lakes while capturing their newlywed bliss. Michelle even had a soft, white faux fur coat and customized jean jacket to add a bit more bridal flair to their photos! As the sun set, the light just got dreamier and dreamier, making for unbelievably exquisite images… and unforgettable memories!
A Word from Katie:
Congratulations Michelle and Tyler on your epic Montana elopement! It was an absolute honor and privilege to get to know you, coordinate your day, and officiate the ceremony! Thank you for being so wonderful to work with. Best wishes to you both!
