Adventure Elopement at Belton Stage Park

Nicky and Keith had a true adventure elopement in Belton Stage Park! With just the two of them and a handful of vendors, they got married in the center of an open field with pine trees and mountaintops in the background. While there were so many wonderful aspects of their big day, the thing that struck us the most was the pure joy that this couple exuded in every moment. They just had fun together, traipsing through the field and by the lake in their matching cowboy boots!

If you’re searching for a unique elopement location in Montana, this is the post for you! Or if you’re on the fence about whether you should elope or not, this is your sign! Nicky and Keith had the best of both worlds for their adventure elopement because they got to experience the wonders of both Belton Stage Park and Glacier National Park. Since it was just the two of them, they had way more time for photos than most couples do, which is one of the best benefits of eloping! Check out the shots they got at the end of this post and you’ll be as blown away just as we are!

Why Elope?

Many couples who turn to us here at An Epic Elopement confide in us that they want to elope not because they want to avoid the hassle of planning a large wedding (although that is a fringe benefit!), but because they want their wedding to be an intimate moment. They want to be truly present with their new husband or wife and celebrate privately before they bring their family and friends into it. What we love most about our couples is that they also seek adventure! Like us, they love being in nature and aren’t afraid to pull on their hiking boots to make it to the top of a mountain or the edge of a remote lake. Getting married in a locale like this would be much more difficult with an entourage of guests in tow. Score another point for eloping!

We specialize in planning these adventure elopements by scouting the most breathtaking locations, helping to obtain any required permits, sourcing only the best wedding vendors, and making sure everything goes off without a hitch on the big day…so you can get hitched stress-free!

The most popular spot to elope or have an adventure photo session here is in Glacier National Park. There are so many incredible landscapes throughout the park that there’s definitely something for everyone! Adventure Elopement in Belton Stage Park:

Nicky and Keith chose to have their adventure elopement within Belton Stage Park. Situated between Lake Five and Halfmoon Lake in West Glacier, Montana, this park sits at the base of the mountains. It is more easily accessible than hiking all the way up to the top of one of Glacier’s mountains and is still completely awe-inspiring. It’s only about a 10-minute drive to the entrance of the national park though, so you can definitely hop on over there after you tie the knot, just as Nicky and Keith did!

On the day of their elopement, this happy couple was able to sleep in and relax all morning before starting to get ready early afternoon. Nicky got her hair and makeup done by Christina with Beauty Renegade and their videographer, Erin with On the Fly Films , was so kind to pick up the beautiful bride before heading to the park. Speaking of wonderful vendors, their photographer, Kelly Kirksey, picked up the bridal bouquet from Rose Mountain Floral on her way to the ceremony site. Amazing vendors for the win!

Nicky’s bouquet contained a stunning blend of vibrant pinks, blues, and oranges. It had major wildflower vibes and matched the level of joy that Nicky and Keith each radiated throughout the day.

The “I Dos:”

Keith was the first to arrive at Belton Stage Park and we turned him around to face the open field to ensure that he didn’t see Nicky before it was time. Dressed in a navy blue suit and orange, pink, and yellow boutonniere, he beamed from ear to ear even before his bride arrived.

Nicky was an absolute vision as she made her way to Keith! We loved how her colorful bouquet popped against her white gown and she wore a necklace that gave her the perfect touch of sparkle. The evening sun was shining just for the two of them, as they exchanged vows and rings right under the clear blue sky. They chose to say their own custom vows to one another, which is yet another reason why we love adventure elopements! There’s no pressure or stage fright involved with the ceremony. You can share the most intimate of words and stories with your person without worrying about public speaking.

After their officiant, Wed By Anna, pronounced them husband and wife, somehow the day became even more beautiful, as the sun shone brighter and the sky grew more blue. They signed the marriage license to make it official and spent the rest of the evening in each other’s arms, having fun taking gorgeous “Just Married” photos.

Adventure Photo Session:

It only makes sense to have an adventure photo session after an adventure elopement! After the newlyweds captured couples’ portraits in Belton Stage Park, they continued the fun by going up to Glacier National Park. The lakes and mountains there give the whole park an ethereal quality, which makes it the perfect spot to revel in your new marriage! Kelly did a great job capturing Nicky and Keith’s fun and playful personalities in the photos.

A Word from Katie:

Nicky and Keith, congratulations on your marriage! Working with you both brought me so much joy and I felt so privileged to be part of the few who were there to witness you tying the knot. Thank you for being the best clients and cheers to you and the beautiful future you’re building together!
