Windy Sun Point Elopement in Glacier National Park

Meredith and Bob got married on a windy August day at Sun Point in Glacier and you guys...it was the best day! I had been working with these two scientists for well over a year and when they asked me to officiate, of course, I said "YES!!"

Meredith and Bob felt just like old friends. I loved emailing and chatting with them so much. When we finally got to meet in person on their big day (aside from a few Facetime calls) it was so exciting! It felt like a reunion.

We all met at Great Northern Resort where they were getting ready. I brought the bouquet and boutonniere (which Flathead Farmworks knocked out of the park by the way) and hung out for a bit. After they were ready to go, they did a quick first look and then we headed up to Sun Point!

As mentioned before, Sun Point was very windy and chilly that day. If you're looking to host your wedding there, just keep that in mind! It can be a hit or miss, but the views are 100% worth it, wind or no wind, cold or no cold. Trust me.

Once we got there, we found the perfect spot, I positioned myself on a rock and Meredith and Bob's family gathered around. For their processional, Score Mission Accomplished from Mission Impossible 2 was played. It was perfect considering they had to postpone their wedding originally. It was basically saying, FINALLY we are getting married!

The ceremony was sweet and simple. There was laughter and there were tears. Both of their moms did a reading which was super special. It was perfect! Afterward, Jack Johnson's Better Together was played and then we all celebrated for a bit before taking photos.

We took photos at Sun Point for a bit before heading down to Lunch Creek (my new favorite photo spot), Big Bend and the Logan Pass area. It was fun spending some more time with them before they headed back to Great Northern for dinner with the family.
